This site is dedicated to the pioneers that have gone before us; they had film and a camera so we can now take a look at how they lived at the turn of the century.

Over the years I have collected thousands of glass negatives, soft negatives and many historical photos. I have also photocopied many old photos from other people’s collections. The names of many of the individuals have been lost to time but we have identified some of the areas and people in the photos, but they all hold an interest…they are a slice of time…when people lived in the late 1800s and early 1900s. We can look back and catch that moment in time. I have placed many captions under the photos in the albums.

I have placed 49 photo albums…all the Google Photos/Picasa links from my historic glass negatives, photos, stereo-optic cards, lantern slides, articles on the collection and View-Master into one blog post. I scanned the first photo in b/w then sepia-toned a second photo to make it look a bit “older” and sometimes clearer. Just click on the link below the photos to view them all. Let me know if you cannot bring up an album.

There are over 15,000 images represented in these albums. This has to be one of the largest private collections of historical photos, many from the original negatives. Most of them are of the southern Oregon area. I have duplicated many of them so there would probably be over 7,000 actual images.
